Holistic, Trauma-Informed Therapy for Lasting Healing
Trauma and chronic stress don’t just live in our thoughts; they reshape our nervous system, impact our relationships, and change how we experience our bodies. Because of this, traditional talk therapy alone isn’t always enough to create lasting change.
At Arrive Therapy, I integrate proven, evidence-based modalities that address trauma from every angle—mind, body, and spirit. Together, we will use these tools to help you release the past and deepen your connection to your core self.
What We Can Work On Together
While trauma is my overarching specialty, it often manifests in many different ways. I frequently support individuals navigating:
Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) & Complex Trauma (C-PTSD)
Childhood Abuse, Neglect, or Emotional Trauma
Relational Wounds (Breakups, Divorce, or Family Conflict)
Chronic Anxiety & Depression
Trust Issues & Boundary Settings
Feelings of Disconnection or Constantly Living in "Survival Mode"

When we experience trauma or severe stress, our brains can get overwhelmed, causing the memory to get "stuck" in its raw, emotional form. This is why a memory from years ago can still make your heart race today.
I am fully trained through an EMDRIA-approved training program. Using bilateral stimulation (like side-to-side eye movements or gentle taps), we help your brain naturally reprocess those stuck memories.
The Goal: EMDR doesn't make you forget what happened, but it removes the painful emotional charge. It takes the memory out of "survival mode" and files it away as a past event, allowing you to finally feel safe in the present.

Have you ever felt like, "Part of me really wants to set boundaries, but another part of me is terrified of upsetting people"? That is completely normal.
We all have different "parts" of our personality—especially after trauma. Utilizing concepts from Internal Family Systems (informed by dedicated training and clinical reading, though not formally certified through the IFS Institute), we look at these conflicting feelings with curiosity rather than frustration.
The Goal: We learn to understand why these defensive parts exist (like a part that protects you by overthinking or a part that shuts down), heal the burdens they carry, and bring your inner world back into harmony.

My experience working in intensive outpatient care deeply expanded my awareness of how stress and trauma have lifelong effects when left unaddressed. Trauma often leaves us feeling disconnected from our physical selves, or trapped in a state of constant physical anxiety and tension.
By incorporating somatic (body-based) practices into our sessions, we pay attention to what your nervous system is telling us.
The Goal: To bridge the mind-body connection, help you track physical sensations, and give you practical tools to calm your nervous system and release stored stress.

Our earliest relationships form the blueprint for how we view ourselves and how we expect others to treat us. If those early bonds were unstable or hurtful, it can lead to trust issues, chronic anxiety, or feelings of unworthiness in adulthood.
The Goal: We look at your current relationship patterns through this lens to understand why you react the way you do, helping you break old cycles and build secure, healthy connections moving forward.
